Overview

The Video tool allows you to bring your character to life through short animated clips, making it one of the most expressive features in the Generate suite. With a single starting image, a few guided segments, and a simple prompt, you can create dynamic videos up to 8 seconds long in your unique animation style.

Each video begins with a reference photo of your character. This first frame anchors the animation, helping the model maintain accurate proportions, style, and facial details throughout the clip. From there, you divide the video into segments, small time blocks where you describe exactly what you want to happen.

Each segment receives its own instruction. These prompts can be highly detailed and scene-specific, for example:

• Segment 1 (0–3 seconds): “Poppy is sitting in her living room on a chair beside a decorated Christmas tree. A coffee table to her left holds milk and cookies on a holiday tray. She looks forward calmly.”

• Segment 2 (3–6 seconds): “Poppy glances toward the coffee table, smiles, and reaches for a cookie as the lights on the tree softly glow.”

• Segment 3 (6–8 seconds): “She brings the cookie closer, laughs gently, and looks back toward the camera.”

By breaking the video into timed segments, you can easily guide what happens in each moment while staying true to your character and animation style.You can create smooth, subtle movements or make them more expressive, all while keeping your character consistent to the model.

You also have the option to add background music, sound effects and dialogue.

This tool is great for short-form social content, GIFs, promotional clips etc…
